GBA RULES AND REQUIREMENTS


Please read the rules and requirements below carefully.


  1. The Ghana Beauty Awards (GBA) Board, Judges and Committee reserves the right not to select any nominee, or to cancel any Award for any reason at any time.
  2. The Call for Nomination for GBA will be announced in more than one relevant online platform or by direct communication with potential Applicants, and that shall be construed to be adequate notice for call for entries.
  3. An individual, business or brand may be nominated for more than one category if they meet the criteria for those categories.
  4. In the event that there are too few qualified nominations in a particular category, GBA reserves the right not to select a winner in that category.
  5. All entries must be submitted using the Online Nomination Process. Nominations and supporting documents must be received not later than 15th August, 2024. Extensions to this date might be granted if need be.
  6. Entries may be submitted either directly from an individual, company, or from a third party. In the event that a third party nominates an individual, GBA will contact the nominee to review the nomination for accuracy and, if necessary, provide any missing relevant information. If the individual fails to provide the required response by the specified date, the nominee will be excluded from the competition.
  7. All Entries should be accompanied by a high-resolution colored photograph (headshot) of the nominee. These files can be emailed to < nominations@ghanabeautyawards.com >
  8. Supporting documents may be required. Should you choose to send additional documents, please ensure they are supportive of the actual nomination. Supporting documents may include brochures, advertisements, photographs, videos etc. Please send all supporting documents via email to < nominations@ghanabeautyawards.com >
  9. All winners are expected to accept their award on stage at the awards ceremony on 10th November 2024 at the Labadi Beach Hotel – Accra.
  10. All entries will be verified for eligibility and proper placement in the appropriate categories.
  11. Winners in one category will receive ONE trophy. Any additional trophies requested as part of the winning “group” may be available at the Awards show at an additional cost.
  12. All information submitted through the Online Nomination Process and all supporting documents will be considered confidential and will only be used by the GBA Committee and its panel of judges for the purposes of selecting finalists and winners.
  13. It should be noted that all events will be filmed for distribution purposes. By attending any of our events, you acknowledge awareness of this statement and release Makeup Ghana Limited, its owner, operators, officers, and duly designated representatives operating in either an official or unofficial capacity free from any liability regarding your image, including use and distribution.
  14. Entries that are incomplete, lost, delayed, illegible, damaged, altered, submitted through wrong means, or do not satisfy the conditions of these Official Regulations may be disqualified.
  15. 15. By entering or confirming the nomination, nominees accept and agree to abide by the Official Regulations and the decisions of the GBA Board and Sponsors with respect to all aspects of the competition, which are final, binding and conclusive on all matters related to this competition. In the event it is determined that a nominee has entered in a fashion not sanctioned by these Official Regulations, the nominee will be disqualified with all of the entries submitted. Nominees are subject to verification through the judging and due diligence process.
  16. All entries become the permanent property of GBA. Nominees may be contacted occasionally by the organizers via email or phone call, for the purpose of informing the nominee of promotional opportunities and follow ups on their entries.
  17. At any point in the competition, a nominee may be disqualified at the discretion of the technical Team if the nominee is unable to meet the requirements in a timely manner. This may include being unavailable for interviews or due diligence. A nominee may also be disqualified or Award will be retrieved if it is determined that the nomination form misrepresents the nominee’s achievements in any way.
  18. A Nominee Is Entitled to One (1) Complimentary Ticket
